Domain Names for your Website

A domain name gives you a unique address of the form www.yourname.co.uk. Having your own domain name projects a more professional image, and allows you to keep the same web address even if you change hosting/website design companies.

We can register a domain name for your website, whether it be a UK domain (.co.uk, .org.uk etc) or a top level domain (.com, .net etc). We always register domain names in your own name so that you then own the domain name - be aware that not all companies do this.

If you have a domain name, then you also require hosting to enable your domain to be assigned to your website (see our hosting page for details). All our hosting packages include 1 free domain name if required. If extra domains are required then the charges are :

Extra UK domain names - £25 for 2 years

Extra top level domain names - £50 for 2 years

  • .org

If you decide to move your website to another company later, we do not charge a fee for transferring your domain away from us.

Q. Can I buy a domain name from someone else, and have you host and design my website?
A. Yes, but there can be hidden costs. Some companies charge for transferring a domain name to another host. In general it is better to arrange website design, hosting, and domain name registration as a complete package.
