We can arrange the hosting of websites that we design, and register a domain name for you. This eliminates the need for you to organise someone to design your site, someone else to host it, and someone else to register your domain!
Eco-Friendly Green UK Based Hosting
Hosting is provided in a datacentre in the UK and includes the following features:
- webspace for your site
- mailboxes with SPAM filtering and antivirus scanning
- e-mail aliases available
- access to your e-mail via webmail or your email program
- statistics showing traffic to your site
The cost of hosting starts from £95 per year including a .uk domain name (such as www.yourname.co.uk), and from £105 per year including a top level domain name (such as www.yourname.com).
The hosting is provided on eco-friendly servers that are designed for lower power consumption, and has all carbon emissions offset for a zero net carbon footprint.
Domain Name for Your Website
A domain name gives you a unique address of the form www.yourname.co.uk. Having your own domain name projects a more professional image, and allows you to keep the same web address even if you change hosting/website design companies. You can also then use an email address like info@mycompany.co.uk rather than something like mycompany66@gmail.com.
We can register a domain name for your website, whether it be a UK domain (.co.uk, .org.uk etc) or a top level domain (.com, .net etc). We always register domain names in your own name so that you then own the domain name – be aware that not all companies do this.
If you decide to move your website to another company later, we do not charge a fee for transferring your domain away from us.
